This role is home based, within the north west of England.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to develop Business Intelligence solutions to improve the production and presentation of management information whilst also meeting the evolving reporting demands of both internal and external stakeholders.
The key objectives of this role are to:
- To develop reports, KPI scorecards and dashboards capabilities.
To support the Data/BI Analyst in delivering AFG’s data strategy.
To meet with stakeholders, and end users to define reporting and intelligence requirements and goals, translating those business needs into technical specifications.
To create and maintain documentation on reports and data dictionary.
To support the Business Systems Training Team in the understanding and documentation of the newly designed reports/dashboards
To work closely with the Data/BI Analyst and Business System Team to identify and develop reports and dashboards in PowerBI.
To support the Business System Team and Data/BI Analyst in creating/amending existing /adhoc SSRS reports.
To assist end users in understanding reports/dashboards, providing technical support and identifying any data issues.
To Identify and highlight any reporting issues / risks to the Data/BI Analyst.
To ensure to follow a formal change request process for any identified additional business reporting requests.
To build strong relationships with relevant internal and external key stakeholders at varying levels and across different business functions.
To work to tight deadlines outlined in the project plan and escalate any risks / issues to the Data/BI Analyst.

2 years’ experience working as a professional BI Officer.
2 years’ experience developing insights and dashboards using Power BI.
Qualifications & Training
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
