About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Sheet Metal Painter to join the Rail Team in Glasgow.

Role Purpose
  • To carry out electrostatic painting of sheet metal enclosures and switchgear panels including priming and finishing works.
What you'll be doing
  • Provide flawless painting of metalwork in line with paint data sheet requirements including curing times and set up finishing.
  • Utilise effective and effective painting methods in line with work instructions.
  • Carry out progressive quality assurance in line with manufacturing instructions
  • Ensure that lessons-learnt and knowledge-capture are practiced as business as usual.

  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.

Who we're looking for

Required skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Recognised qualification in a sheet metal painting discipline or experience with electrostatic painting plant.
  • The individual should have a desire to continuously pursue innovation and development, with a focus on right first time and quality products.
  • Understanding of customer requirements
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Behaving with integrity and always demonstrating professional image. To always do what is right in line with our code of conduct.
