We're looking for HR professional to join us and lead our people business partnering team. As a senior, high profile and influential role, you will play an integral part in the facilitation and delivery of excellent standards of healthcare services via the provision of an inclusive People function with the aim of contributing to the delivery of excellent patient services and experiences.

Main duties of the job
  • To contribute to the development of People services promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, best practice and supporting innovation and modernisation.
  • Line management of 3 Senior HR Business Partners, oversee the development of the team, contributing to development and ensuring that all team members have a real voice in the development of the People service.
  • Role model a business focused and performance oriented approach, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support and be responsible for the team to take the lead in the trusts annual and longer term workforce plan, which underpins the operational plan and trust strategy

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Working in partnership with our divisional staff, you will provide professional customer focused People advice and guidance. Lead in the development of the workforce plans that underpin the trust operational plan which support local, organisational and national strategies.

Support the development, implementation and embedding of People strategy, policy and practice in accordance with legislation and best practice, working in conjunction with staff side/trade union partners. Provide coaching and solutions that support the business in the identification and management of workforce issues and change programmes.

Education and qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Master’s degree or demonstrable equivalent experience working within Human Resources
  • Evidence of CPD demonstrating regular attendance on employment law updates courses and employee relations
Desirable criteria
  • Full Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development

Knowledge and experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience as a Strategic HR Business Partner
  • Experience of working for a large complex organisation and in a changing environment
Desirable criteria
  • Human resources experience within the NHS or within another large public sector organisation that provides transferable knowledge and skills
