Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a prestigious further educational college in the East of England to help employ an experienced construction professional on a part-time permanent 3 days a week basis for their Property Maintenance and Carpentry trainer/assessor role.

The Property Maintenance and Carpentry trainer/assessor will be responsible for:

  • Conduct regular progress reviews, providing feedback to learners and employers.
  • Support learners in developing their portfolios and preparing for end-point assessments (EPA).
  • Work closely with employers to identify suitable tasks and training opportunities.
  • Ensure the tracking and documentation of learner progress meets quality assurance requirements.
  • Deliver targeted training to support learner's wider life skills development.
  • Promote the college's values and ensure compliance with awarding body practices.

The Property Maintenance and Carpentry trainer/assessor will need to have:

  • A relevant level 3 vocational qualification
  • A Level 3 TAQA qualification or equivalent or be willing to work towards.
  • Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance (desirable)
  • Relevant carpentry or property maintenance qualification and industry experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for training and mentoring learners.
  • Understanding of apprenticeship standards and end-point assessments.
