Job overview
Community Dental Services has a part-time vacancy for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join their clinic based at Bridlington Hospital. The successful candidate will form part of a well-established team assisting dental clinicians providing dental treatment for Paediatric and Adult patients who meet the referral criteria and can not accept treatment in a general dental practice.
Main duties of the job
The applicant will be resilient, and well organised and have the ability to work under pressure in a busy clinic, supporting dental clinicians with complex dental treatments whilst supporting the patient and keeping them and/or their appropriate adult involved in treatment options.The applicant will also be responsible for carrying out Infection Prevention & Control measures following HTM01-05 and company specific general standard operating procedures. If qualified in Dental Radiography and/or Dental Sedation these skills would be utilised throughout the clinic when support in that area is required.
The ideal candidate would be good under pressure and have excellent written and verbal communication, IT skills, and a great team player who enjoys communicating well with patients.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Level 3 NEBDN Qualification
- Must be registered on the Dental Nurse National Register
- Certificate in Dental Radiography
- Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Knowledge of dental procedures gained through training and experience
- Knowledge of routine administration procedures, reception duties and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of dental software system
Experience
Essential criteria- Previous experience of working in a dental surgery
- Experience of dealing with clients who have physical and/or learning disabilities
