This role is hybrid, with the main base in Stafford.

It sits within Highway Information Management, a team within the wider Highway Maintenance & Network Management service area. The team consists of asset data technicians, traffic data officers and information engineers who are committed to creating and managing high-quality information which supports the wider highway service; and maintaining and improving the data systems which hold this information.Main Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Build, improve and manage the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system for Highways, working with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into reporting solutions; and troubleshoot issues using technical skills and critical thinking to ensure data accuracy for all users of the system.
  • Use specialist skills to integrate data across the various in-house and external software systems ensuring high level of data reliability to support the duties of the highway authority.
  • Create and implement various customised reports across a range of data systems to provide valuable insight to operational staff, senior management, members of the public and external stakeholders.
  • Occasional day-to-day management of the team responsible for the local street gazetteer, core highway asset data, geographical information systems, collection and analysis of traffic data may also be required.The Ideal Candidate

You will have experience in:

  • using application programming interfaces (API) to enable exchange of data between systems.
  • using spatial information systems (e.g. GIS), MS Power BI and other MS365 products and knowledge of SQL, Python and ‘low-code’.
  • designing, developing & implementing solutions in a CRM environment.
  • developing and understanding process maps to identify dataflows and create effective solutions.
  • supervising and/or managing a team.
