Working within the Infrastructure Service Desk team, the post holder will provide a first-class, efficient first line technical support service to the Unified Communications team, supporting in the delivery of telephony infrastructure services and projects to the Trust by the Unified Communications Department.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to undertake and be responsible for first line technical support for the Infrastructure Service Desk Team; this includes all of the services and related systems provided by the team on site. This could include, but is not limited to, support of telephony, paging, and IT applications.

Specifically, the Office Administrator will be expected to provide first line infrastructure support to users, which includes responding to phone calls, emails or walk-ins, and creating tickets to track work to completion. This requires the ability to understand technical issues, and effectively gauge the response required and the clinical and administrative needs and resources of staff and departments at all levels and from all disciplines, in order to offer the best advice and resolution for each service requirement.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 Client Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent GCE/CSE/GCSE or equivalent experience
  • Business Administration qualification or significant relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working within PRINCE2 framework
  • Minute Taking qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a busy clerical/ office environment
  • Experience of creating office based processes
  • Production of management information and ad-hoc reports
  • Client Service experience
