Software Development Lead - Defaqto
Salary: £55,000 - 80,000 per year
Requirements:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development with at least 3 years of experience with Python or Django.
- Experience of scalable web applications.
- Ideally, experience leading or mentoring a small software development team
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on finding practical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable web applications using Python, Django, and related technologies.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve application performance,
- reliability, and user experience.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Guide the team in the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
- Oversee the delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and success.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Contribute to the development of new software features and applications as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of 3 software developers and 1 tester, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
