Various possible locations in addition to London including Paris, Madrid, Barcelona and Dublin.

The AWS Data Centre Supply Solutions team is looking for a Strategy & Acquisitions Associate to work with various stakeholder groups to procure data centre capacity, support long term scaling strategies for AWS’s data centre regions and manage a portfolio of critical infrastructure agreements.

In this role as the Strategy & Acquisitions Associate you will manage all areas of transaction deal flow related to data centre projects, for both colocation and real estate.

The Data Centre Supply Solutions team supports AWS by planning and executing long term scaling strategies for AWS’s global data centre network. As a Strategy & Acquisitions Associate, you will support the team in the development and execution of contractual agreements, assist in the development of the business case for investment and support the development, presentation, approval and tracking of long-term strategies.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities
  • Prepare transaction business cases, forecast project costs and partner with internal teams to submit business cases for leadership review.
  • Assist with the site selection process, strategy development and data analysis.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement such as operations, legal, finance, treasury, tax and risk assessment from initial due diligence to contract review and execution, including management of all milestones to track with stakeholders.
  • Support development of Work Orders, Lease Agreements, Sale & Purchase Agreements and other contractual documents.
  • Ensure data integrity in supply planning and execution systems related to supply options including cost, capacity, key dates, and contractual terms.
  • Support the team in managing transaction deal flow, including ensuring that all relevant data and associated documents are tracked and kept updated.
  • Effectively communicate expectations, requirements and status of deals to key stakeholders and business partners – both internally and externally.
