We are seeking an experienced risk expert to join our Team as an Enterprise Risk Manager. This role is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and will support the Head of Risk Strategy and Reporting to oversight Group risk management activity to ensure effective executive reporting and board decision making.
Key accountabilities / responsibilities- Support the completion and continuous improvement of key enterprise risk processes across the Group, including policy management, risk appetite maintenance, risk taxonomy and risk framework developments;
- Act as an SME for enterprise risk management and provide advice and challenge on application of the ERMF and risk management across the organisation;
- Support the development of the Bank’s risk data and MI strategy and framework;
- Develop and embed guidance on the assessment of risks, aligned to the Group ERMF standards and GRC;
- Develop and implement clear standards and procedures for the aggregation and escalation of risk matters to ERC, BRC and Group Board;
- Assist with the production and analysis of risk MI for reporting to committees;
- Research leading practices on enterprise risk management and develop proposals to continuously improve components of the ERMF; and
- Support the oversight of operational risk categories in line with emerging areas of risk exposure
- Extensive understanding of the theory and practice of risk management.
- Previous experience of enterprise risk management within a financial services business is essential.
- Awareness of good corporate governance principles and practices.
- Previous experience of operating a GRC system preferred.
- Comfortable with handling, transforming and visualising large amounts of data.
- Personable and approachable.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to challenge in a positive manner and handle difficult situations.
