Your Role:

Energy Transition and Utilities is the largest sector in Capgemini Invent’s private portfolio, with a dominant brand position across all our five subsectors – Nuclear, Water, Networks, Energy Retail and Energy Transition.

As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a talented, proactive professional with 2-5 years’ experience in consulting and/or industry who demonstrates a strong business improvement mindset and who can draw on a wide range of experiences and industries, including in capital delivery and/or asset management.

You will work on high profile, impactful projects which will help our clients deliver scalable energy and water infrastructure to help the UK transition to a low carbon, sustainable future. You will work in a diverse team of data & digital engineers, business consultants, industry experts, creative designers, and information and technology specialists to help grow a market leading business.

You will work collaboratively with clients at all levels of an organisation and across all stages of the asset lifecycle to help them define the key foundations and capabilities required to set up their capital project and asset operations for success.

Starting with the end in mind, you will blend deep industry insight with the use of emerging technologies and techniques to help our clients create a digital workforce and embed more integrated ways of working. You will move from ‘idea to action’ quickly and build confidence along the digital journey to help our clients successfully deliver critical nuclear infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate delivery excellence at all stages of the project lifecycle, including defining project scope and objectives, facilitating workshops to define and prioritise requirements, managing key relationships with senior client representatives, and driving teams forward towards agreed outcomes
  • Take ownership of workstreams when required, potentially leading small teams within large transformation programmes
  • Identify, understand, articulate, and monitor risks at the delivery, project, and programme levels
  • Help to build client strategies and business/investment cases, as well as project delivery plans and delivery roadmaps
  • Help to define future business and organisation models that combine an integrated view of people, technology, and information priorities.

Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and to your own personal growth through activities in the following categories:

  • Business Development - Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events
  • Internal Contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development
  • Learning & Development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

Optional certifications, licenses or languages:

  • Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background
  • Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in shaping and delivering consulting solutions
  • Experience of proposition building and delivery
