An exciting opportunity has arisen for Data Analyst’s to work within the University of Glasgow.

Planning, Insight and Analytics are seeking two exceptional Data Analysts to join our hard-working, supportive and friendly Data Analytics team. We have two vacancies available: one full-time permanent role focused on admissions data and student numbers' forecasts, and one full-time fixed-term role for two years with focus on domestic league tables and student journey.

The successful candidates will deliver data-driven insight to support decision-making at the highest level, and will benefit from working within a team culture which focuses on finding sustainable, innovative solutions to data challenges, and maximising opportunities for improvement.

The Data Analyst role will support the work of the Planning, Insight and Analytics (PIA) department at the University of Glasgow. PIA sits at the heart of University Services and provides data and analysis to support decision-making at the highest level.

This role sits within PIA’s Data Analytics team. The job holders will be responsible for a wide range of insight generation on (but not limited to) student applications and admissions pipelines, league table analysis, and learning & teaching strategy, in addition to horizon scanning on key events that may impact on the Higher Education sector and our position.

The post requires the holder to be comfortable extracting and analysing data, explaining patterns, developing analytic models and effectively communicating the stories found within data. In return for your valuable data expertise, you will benefit from working within a talented, supportive Data Analytics team, and in close collaboration with a range of experienced data practitioners including data governance, data engineering, data science and strategic planning.

We have two posts available in this role: one full-time open ended post, and one full-time fixed-term post for two years. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
