The Opportunity

The Payroll & Pensions Coordinator role represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to be part of a fast-moving professional support team in Keele University’s Human Resources Directorate. The Directorate is responsible for Resource & Talent Management, HR Operations, Employee Relations, Projects, Policy & EDI, Payroll & Pensions, Organisational Development, Occupational Health and Keele Day Nursery.

The post holder will be part of a team responsible for the provision of an all-encompassing effective and efficient professional payroll & pensions administration service to staff. A service that covers all elements of pay and associated deductions, pensions administration and the provision of technical payroll and pensions guidance and support to staff.

You must have a flexible approach to support the business needs of the Service.

You should be educated to A Level/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) or equivalent work experience within a large organisation. A recognised professional payroll qualification is desirable but not essential. You should have detailed and up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation.
Ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise your own workload. Also be a strong team player and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. You should value the importance of working cohesively with a variety of stakeholders, embracing diverse perspectives and a culture of mutual respect, confidentiality and support.

You would strive to communicate effectively and empathetically and embrace continuous improvement practice.
