Job overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Project Manager to oversee and deliver capital projects across the entire NCA footprint. This is a Trust wide role, meaning you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact across multiple areas and teams within the NCA.

This is an exciting role offering the chance to play a pivotal role in the delivery of the existing capital plan, the development of innovative capital schemes, and the shaping of future projects across the Trust.

In this role, you will be integral to the development and delivery of capital projects across our sites. Your responsibilities will include project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within scope, and to budget.

You will bring a comprehensive understanding of the financial aspects of capital projects, including the ability to forecast and profile spending across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective resource allocation and budget management.

We are looking for someone who excels in stakeholder management, with a strong track record of working collaboratively with contractors, clinicians, and other key stakeholders. You must be confident and capable in holding all project participants accountable, driving the delivery of high-quality results and ensuring alignment with the overall strategic goals of the NCA.

Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be essential in navigating complex project landscapes, ensuring clear communication, and fostering strong working relationships across diverse teams.

This is a key role where your expertise in capital project delivery and financial management, combined with your strong stakeholder engagement, will directly contribute to the successful transformation and improvement of healthcare facilities within the NCA.

If you’re ready to make an impact and lead large-scale capital projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment, we want to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for driving the successful completion of capital projects, ensuring that facilities are developed to the highest standards of excellence while adhering to financial constraints. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all capital projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the operational and strategic goals of the NCA.

You will develop, maintain, and continuously monitoring comprehensive project plans and essential project documentation. This will include ensuring that plans are consistently updated and effectively communicated to project boards and key stakeholders.

As the Capital Project Manager, you will take charge of every stage from initial feasibility through to timely completion. Working closely with project teams and construction partners, you will coordinate activities across all phases of project delivery, ensuring that projects remain on track and are completed efficiently.

You will also ensure that all capital projects uphold the highest standards of quality and sustainability. This means applying best practices and innovative solutions to deliver value for money while ensuring sustainability.

In addition to managing project delivery, you will provide expert professional advice and strategic guidance for capital schemes across the NCA. Your expertise will be integral in influencing decision-making, mitigating risks, and ensuring that all projects align with both operational and strategic objectives.
