Finance Department
Permanent vacancy - 37 hours per week
£40,144 per annum
The finance department provides a high-quality financial service to the whole of the College. The team consists of 15 staff of which 5 focus significantly on the management account function of the department. We aim to provide excellent customer service and offer prompt and high-quality financial support to our internal and external stakeholders, whilst maintaining good controls and enforcing compliance with the College’s financial regulations.
As Management Accountant, you will have an important role within the department, leading the management account section and shaping its role and direction. Main duties include:- Responsible for producing the monthly management accounts and associated reports to management and the board
- Prepare the college VAT returns and assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts and related schedules
- Support some of the budget holders to understand and react to the financial information available to them, which will enable you to understand the college on a wider non-financial context
- Support the maintenance of the college’s fixed asset register and processes as well as supporting and developing relevant features within the finance system
