SEND Teaching Assistant and Lunchbreak Supervisor
Total 25 hours per week 8:45-3:30 Monday-Thursday
- 23 hours weekly as a SEND TA (8:45-12:15 and 1:15-3:30 Monday-Thursday) at Hay 10 (£13897 actual)- 2 hours weekly as a Lunch Break Supervisor (12:15-12:45 Monday-Thursday) at Hay 13 (£1088 actual)(30 min lunch break 12:45-1:15)
This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year.
We require an enthusiastic, dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in our fantastic team to provide for the needs of pupils with SEND. We are looking for someone who has experience of supporting pupils with SEND and is passionate about children’s education and personal development.

The successful candidate will:- Support children to access learning, either as part of a whole class, in small groups or 1:1
- Develop trusting, positive relationships with pupils
- Motivate and inspire pupils to engage with energy, enthusiasm, creative ideas and a sense of humour
- Adapt the timetable and activities for the needs of specific children, for example providing breaks or using practical resources
- Support children’s social and emotional development
- Be flexible, patient and understanding, showing sensitivity to pupils’ needs
- Have a nurturing approach whilst maintaining clear boundaries
- Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCO, in collaboration with the rest of the staff team
- Be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the children they are working with
- Communicate professionally and positively with parents
- Support children across the school at lunch time, both practically and socially

This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year. The successful candidate would initially be working in Lower Key Stage 2 to support the needs of a child with an EHCP with Cognition and Learning as their primary need, who requires a highly differentiated curriculum and support to develop their communication skills.
