Requirements- Act as subject matter expert in the application of the group financial control policy within DFL
- Ensure finance policies and processes are appropriate to enhance risk management capabilities across DFL.
- Be a trusted advisor to the finance team and other risk owners in the business, supporting development of appropriate and practical solutions to risk management
- Ensure process maps are in place for all finance processes and are reviewed and signed off annually
- Actively monitor and track controls, adapting the Group's KPI compliance monitoring framework, tailored for DFL as required
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and other relevant functions to ensure effective coordination of risk management activities and timely resolution of issues.
- Fully qualified in either CIMA or ACCA.
- Proven experience of financial governance and controls
- Proficiency with risk management tools and systems preferably CGR Foundation
- Experience with internal control frameworks including COSO
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex issues and develop practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals with financial and non-financial backgrounds
- Analytical problem solving skills
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to work
- Organise and plan effectively showing good use of delegation where required
- Making sound and good decisions, understanding the right level of risk and influencing others.
- Motivate and inspire, embrace change and support others with their development.
- Positively encourages team cohesion, idea sharing and goes out of their way to support others within the business to get the job done.
