Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA)? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Stockport, where you will make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.
This inclusive and nurturing school provides tailored support for children with Autism and profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). With access to Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy, students receive the specialist care they need to thrive.

✔️ SEN Teaching
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Autism and PDA.
- Implement creative and personalised strategies to help manage emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to create a holistic and engaging learning environment.
- Offer sensitive personal care, ensuring students feel safe, supported, and valued.
✔️ Patience, empathy, and creativity in your approach to supporting students.
✔️ Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
✔️ Experience in SEN or education is beneficial, but not essential - full training provided!
✔️ A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).
