What you'll bring to the team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Internal Communications Executive to join our team, helping to shape how Merlin engages with employees across our diverse and dynamic workforce.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about storytelling, employee engagement, and fostering a strong company culture. You’ll play a key supporting role in implementing our Global Internal Communications Strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders to drive engagement, promote our values, and ensure best-in-class internal communications.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the implementation of the global internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment across global, regional, and local teams.
  • Helping to develop engaging and impactful content that reinforces Merlin’s values, culture, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Collaborating with global and regional teams to support internal communication campaigns and announcements across multiple platforms (email, intranet, enterprise social networks, town halls).
  • Ensuring clear, open, and transparent communication across the business, providing leaders with the tools to engage effectively with employees.
  • Supporting two-way communication initiatives, creating opportunities for employees to share feedback and feel heard.
  • Providing guidance on best practices for local and regional internal communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with the business’s corporate messaging.
  • Partnering with key departments, including Corporate Affairs, People, and Regional Communications teams, to deliver internal communications that support talent strategies, reward and recognition, and employee experience.

1st stage Interviews will be held week commencing 5th May 2025

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in communications (internal or external), with a passion for employee engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to collaborate across teams and build relationships.
  • Ability to create compelling, high-quality written and visual content for diverse audiences.
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset, able to respond to emerging communications priorities at short notice.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, ensuring timely delivery of communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, maintaining high standards of messaging.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to secure alignment and consensus across teams.
