About Our Client
We are working with a Not-for-Profit organisation that is seeking an interim procurement professional to manage and oversee the full procurement process for four key projects over a three-month period. For each project, the role will involve developing and executing the sourcing strategy, preparing the call-off contracts, and managing the entire procurement process through to contract execution and hand-over to the Contract Managers.
Job Description- Collaborate with the relevant Contract Managers
- Oversee and manage the procurement process
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals
- Work within established frameworks such as Crown Commercial Services, Procurement Partnership Limited, ESPO, and evaluate potential framework offerings for the projects
- Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Review existing contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Forecast trends and market conditions for future projects
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Officer should have:
- A solid understanding of procurement processes and contract management
- Experience in a similar procurement position
- Public sector or Not-for-Profit experience is essential
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to analyse data and make decisions
- Knowledge of procurement software and databases
- Excellent organisational skills
- Interim Procurement Officer position - 3 months
- £300 - £450 day rate
