Work base = St Georges Hospital, Stafford. Hours = 22.5 total (Wed, Thurs and Fri)
We are looking for a new member of our Mental Health In-Patient Admin Team who support our busy mental health wards, often in situations where empathy, patience and resilience are just as important as admin skills. You don’t necessarily need previous NHS experience to succeed in this role.What matters most is your ability to stay calm under pressure, communicate kindly, integrate with colleagues and manage your workload.
Our team prides themselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is valued and respected. We provide regular 1 to 1s to ensure that all staff have are supported and heard.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent level of administrative experience).
- Previous admin or customer service experience.
Experience
Essential criteria- Relevant experience of undertaking office procedures with minimal supervision.
- Able to work within a team environment and contribute effectively to team development.
- Previous experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of using RiO or a patient clinical system and dealing with the public
- Dealing with the public
Skills
Essential criteria- Excellent typing skills, including audio-typing.
- Proficient in the use of computer packages, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to produce documents and reports to a high standard from handwritten and audio transcription.
- Ability to work on own initiative and ability to prioritise workload in order to meet conflicting demands and deadlines
- Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of effective teamwork
- Experience of minute taking
- Customer service skills
