Personal Assistant

DWF is recruiting for a Personal Assistant (PA) to provide notable support to our Motor & Fraud team, supporting multiple Partners and Solicitors. Your role is crucial in enabling our fee-earning colleagues to optimise their billable time and focus on client work.
This is a part time role consisting of 4 working days per week. You will be based out of the Belfast office 3 out of the 4 days per week with 1 day being done remotely.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be working from the central inbox, including the Motor and Fraud inbox, involves preparing electronic and paper briefs to be sent to Counsel, which is a major aspect of the role. Additionally, applying for CRU Certificates, which are certificates of recoverable benefits.
Dictations are handled by the DPU and then sent to the PA for proofing before being sent out or forwarded to the Solicitor. Billing on 3e includes professional fees, outlays, and disbursement-only invoices. Another key task is sending out settlement monies or damages as payments to Counsel and doing lodgements for Court, such as making BACS payments and sending the papers for lodging.
The role also involves contacting Solicitors, Barristers, and Insurance Companies, as well as working on Client debt by sending chasers through letters, emails, and phone calls, which is another major aspect of the role. Investigating and resolving residual balances is also part of the responsibilities.These tasks require attention to detail and effective communication to ensure all processes are handled efficiently.
What will help you succeed in this role? :
Essential- Previous experience in a PA or Secretarial role
- Experienced with the MS Office suite together with case management systems
- Excellent communication abilities
- Considerable organisational & administration skills.
- Background experience or education in finance.
- PA/ Secretarial litigation experience
