We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our rotation across the Cornish Health Community. We are looking for a team member who can provide decisive and effective Occupational Therapy input.
This is an entry-level post working the equivalent of 37.5 hours per week.
This post holder will join the Occupational Therapy Band 5 rotation scheme. This is a scheme, which spans across different health setting and different areas of practice.
Within this rotation you will develop specialist skills in the following areas: Physical medicine, learning disabilities and adult mental health, under the guidance of the senior staff. Work base will change with site changes.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard Occupational Therapy service topatients within each area.
To provide assessment, treatment, and goal setting of patients within each area. Some patients may have complex and/or chronic presentations. To determine clinical diagnosis and Occupational Therapy treatment indicated.
To maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- HCPC registered/Pending
- Membership of the College of Occupational Therapy.
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team, an understanding of their roles and respect for the other professionals within the team.
- Experience of working in a team of people.
- Experience working in an NHS setting in the following clinical areas: Trauma & Orthopaedics, Medical, Respiratory, Neurology, Mental Health
Skills
Essential criteria- Up-to-date clinical skills. Entry level assessment skills.
- Good understanding of roles with Multidisciplinary Team.
- Computer literate
- Evidence of clinical audit/research activity
- Presentation Skills
