An opportunity has arisen to provide the Chief Pharmacist and Associate Director for Medicines Management and the Deputy Chief Pharmacist with an efficient effective, administrative, secretarial and organisational support service.

This role is part time, 30 hours.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a proactive, highly competent and resilient individual to work within our dynamic team to ensure we have effective administrative, secretarial and organisational support to the pharmacy leadership team.

The successful candidate will have good knowledge of the NHS, excellent administrative and organisational skills including minute taking, diary management, advanced IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ideally Share Point; attention to detail; the ability to work on your own initiative, independently and as a team player.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good level of education including GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant discipline
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL
  • Other Business or administrative qualifications

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential criteria
  • Experience using the full range of secretarial procedures, software programmes including email, internet and Microsoft Office software packages – Word, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Good organisational and planning skills, with the ability to effectively time manage
  • Analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret information.
  • Effective minute taking skills
Desirable criteria
  • SharePoint experience

  • Experience of supporting a Senior Management Team / Executive Directors
  • Experience of communicating with Senior Management
