Purchase Ledger Assistant
- Location: Chelmsford, Essex
- Job Type: Full-time 8.30am-5pm office based
- Salary: £23,000- £29,000 (dependant on experience)
The role is office-based in Chelmsford with free parking on site, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 5 pm.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Register and authorise invoices.
- Handle supplier invoice queries by raising debit notes and chasing for credits.
- Process supplier credit notes and cancel debits as necessary.
- Prepare and raise supplier payments.
- Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Liaise with branches to investigate internal invoice queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Purchase Ledger is advantageous, but they will look at junior candidates also.
- Positive attitude and professional conduct when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
- Strong communication skills and accurate information recording.
- Initiative to develop skills, knowledge, and behaviour.
- Literate and numerate.
- Sense of humour, ability to mix well with colleagues and form good relationships is a must.
