Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you care for, helping them maintain their independence while providing the necessary assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support clients in following their care plans and maintaining their health and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Document daily activities and any changes in clients' conditions accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between client locations.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others are essential qualities for this role.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the clients.
