Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the architectural design process through the production of detailed drawings, models, and documentation. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural principles and proficiency in various design software.

The Architectural Technician will collaborate closely with architects and engineers to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Duties
  • Develop detailed architectural drawings and plans using software such as Auto CAD, Micro Station, and Solid Works.
  • Create 3D models and visualisations using tools like 3ds Max, Sketchup, Grasshopper, and Rhinoceros 3D.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility.
  • Support system design efforts by integrating architectural elements with structural and mechanical systems.
  • Maintain an organised archive of project files and documentation for easy access by team members.
Experience
  • Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or similar role within the architecture or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Auto CAD and Micro Station; familiarity with Solid Works is advantageous.
  • Experience with 3D modelling software such as 3ds Max, Sketchup, Grasshopper, or Rhinoceros 3D is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
