COMPUTER SCIENCE at Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College
The College is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, high performing and enthusiastic individual to the full-time post of Teacher of Computer Science, who will lead and inspire students. This is a post to join a team of professionals in a growing subject area in our Outstanding College.
Computer Science and IT is known as the Digital department at Notre Dame. It offers a breadth of provision including A Level Computer Science (AQA), Level 3 BTEC Games Design, T Level Digital and Level 2 CTEC IT. We are looking for an excellent teacher of A Level Computer Science who has the drive and enthusiasm to provide a high quality and challenging learning experience for our students whilst also ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment.
The Digital provision in the college is responsive to local and national skills needs, progressive in its offer and has steadily seen student numbers grow over the last five years. In 2020 the department launched our highly successful Digital T Level delivered in our industry standard accommodation with industry standard specialist resources.Leeds is often described as the ‘Digital Nexus of the North’ and we are particularly pleased to have secured industry placements with specialised prominent digital employers.
The department is lively, dynamic and progressive in terms of its approaches to delivering the specifications we currently offer with a wealth of experience and professional knowledge. Computer Science and IT is delivered in new purpose-built accommodation with industry specialist resources.

Please note the post also attracts a Golden Hello payment of £2,500, which would be paid as a one-off lump sum to the successful candidate upon commencing employment (this payment is subject to the successful candidate remaining at the College for at least two years)
