About the Team
Privacy and Data Compliance Team
The vision for our team is “to enable privacy and data compliance at pace”, This means helping GBG achieve it’s goals, whilst creating demonstrable privacy and data compliance with regulatory and/or licensing obligations. As a fast growing, global business, this team provides a challenging environment with days rarely the same.We continue to promote our key principles to ensure all team members “think privacy” upfront, helping to embed privacy and data compliance into operations.
The Role
Senior Data Protection Executive
You will be responsible for leading a small team and contributing to completing Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests that we receive (under The Data Protection Act 2018)/GDPR and other global privacy laws) along with a variety of other data related requests and enquiries from members of the public and our business customers.
Reporting into the Head of Privacy EU/UK, the role is to manage, co-ordinate and deliver on our smart objectives to ensure that GBG is compliant with applicable legislation, its contractual obligations and provides great service.
What you will do- Lead and support the Data Protection Executives by co-ordinating delivery on multiple case management activities. You will monitor volumes, provide support on more complex cases/ issues, and provide clear guidance and solutions to enable progress
- Execute delivery on your own DSR case load as part of the overall team workload
- Undertake line management responsibilities and maintain ongoing training and awareness for both direct reports and wider GBG team members to ensure they continue to be aware of what they need to do to be/compliant
- Be a trusted advisor in relation to privacy and data compliance requests, responding to both external and internal requests or questions, ensuring quality and timeliness
- Continually review and enhance internal Data Subject Rights and data enquiry processes to evidence privacy and data compliance and develop operational efficiency
- Nurture high quality relationships with stakeholders and ensure that members of the public have a great experience with GBG
- Produce/develop internal reports, MI and adhoc requests for management to ensure that GBG is adhering to its regulatory requirements and monitors ongoing trends
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of The Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR in relation to the Rights of Individuals
- Process orientated approach, with the ability to execute accurately and consistently across multiple processes

- Confident in making decisions and ensures timely consultation with management where required
