Secondary Tutor
We are looking for a dedicated Secondary SEN Tutor to join our team and support students with a range of additional needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Looked After Children (LAC), and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the individual needs of students and identify their learning goals.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, tailored sessions to secondary-aged students.
- Support students with SEN, SEMH needs, LAC, and UASC backgrounds.
- Monitor and evaluate progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and relevant professionals to ensure consistent support.
About You:
- Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Confidence in working with students from diverse and vulnerable backgrounds, including LAC and UASC.
- Ability to assess learning needs and deliver structured, impactful sessions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and a patient, empathetic approach.
Requirements:
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience (QTS is desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge of SEN and SEMH strategies.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain one.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours to suit student needs.
