Mencap is seeking a passionate Female Support Worker to join our incredible team in Ravenfield, Rotherham.As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life, support would include daily tasks such as supporting to socialise, day trips, outings, household tasks such as cooking and cleaning, supporting with finances, medication and medical condition which require monitoring, a good friendly listening ear with good forward thinking skills and planning is required, you would be working with Chromebooks to document and use on a daily basis, training is provided, this would be digital and face to face training.
What we're looking for:- A genuine passion for supporting others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
- 20 hrs per week
- Days: Between 10:00-15:30
- Afternoons into sleep in: 15:30-23:00
- All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
