Site Manager with subsidised on-site family accommodation
There are two main school buildings along with multiple out-buildings. We also have a range of outdoor areas including a large playing field including woodland areas, an allotment and sensory & interactive play areas.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities that include maintaining the school premises and grounds, ensuring site security, performing mandatory checks and monitoring as well as co-ordinating on-site contractors and cleaners. Though working in a busy school environment a large degree of flexibility is a must!
The role is based on 37 hours per week, but specific hours of work will be negotiable upon appointment of the successful candidate. There will be a need to include Monday to Friday for school opening (6.30am) at a minimum. It should be noted that the successful candidate will be expected to work some paid overtime in the evenings or at weekends to deal with any security issues.

- Demonstrate previous experience and ‘DIY skills’ to identify, monitor and carry out minor repairs, maintenance and redecoration
- Demonstrate knowledge of moving and handling procedures and be physically able to carry out the physical tasks of the role (eg lifting, shifting, clearing snow etc)
- Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety and hygiene procedures and precautions
- Have an awareness of COSHH regulations, applying knowledge gained as appropriate
- Demonstrate good communication skills that allow effective communication with all levels of school staff, governors, pupils, contractors and Trust staff• Be open to attending additional skills training and participation in Trust wide collaboration where appropriate.
This post will be paid on an L grade, salary £25,700 to £28,722 (FTE) depending on experience.
