An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk post on Ward 22 that will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the ward. A successful candidate will be privy to sensitive information in relation to patient’s confidential information.

This role has a wide variety of administrative tasks that need to be completed. The role is ideal for someone who has willingness to learn new skills, can work in a busy environment. The vacancy is for 15hrs/week, and the working hours will be from Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00.

To check demographic details are correct on admission and discharge.
To arrange transport for patients attending other hospitals/departments.
To answer the telephone, taking messages or transferring calls as appropriate.
To co-ordinate outpatient appointments with clinic clerk prior to discharge.
To prepare any discharged patients paperwork for scanning
To provide support to nursing staff for general patient requests
Liaise with Informatics regarding electronic equipment
