International Demand Planning Manager

Overview:

This person will need a constant sense of urgency to execute upon daily challenges and changes in an efficient manner but remain strategic and forward thinking.

The International Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for working with our International Sales teams to develop a dynamic demand plan for international items by location, management of long-term finished goods at our co-manufacturing partners in Europe, management of finished goods inventory coverage and freshness by country, and manage the collaboration with customers and downstream supply chain.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously work to improve forecasts by evaluating retailer data, price and promotional activity, retailer inventory, category trends, historical shipment data, and historical impacts caused by any extended inventory shortages
• Work with the sales team to create new item volume build projections, and evaluate the potential downstream supply chain impacts of over/under-projecting new item volumes
• Rapidly develop and iterate new item forecasts utilizing historical shipment benchmarks and our Salesforce CRM customer opportunity tracking process, as well as sales insights and syndicated market data
• Maintain and improve on the systems and processes needed to have a live understanding of finished good production, on-hand inventories by item, orders in transit, and customer orders throughout each week and fiscal period
• Drive, promote and develop clear and active communication lines between International Sales, Supply Chain Leadership, and FP&A Leadership to continuously improve the International S&OP process
• Work as a part of a team to develop forecast, production, and deployment programs to ensure supply, maintain optimized inventory levels, and consistently provide world-class order fill rates without losing product to age for Califia’s developing international markets
• Work collaboratively with our Co-Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain leadership team to measure and monitor both short-term and long-term planning horizons with our co-manufacturing partners

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain: Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Deployment and/or Scheduling or comparative in FMCG/CPG
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related analytical field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• Demonstrated understanding of FMCG/CPG manufacturing, planning and short-term scheduling
• Relentless attention to detail and capable of multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
• Outstanding analytical skills with a proven ability to problem solve and develop solutions to complex problems
• Must be able to understand and balance the needs of sales and operations and make quick decisions that are best for the company.
• Ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures
• Advanced excel skills
• Experience with planning and master data maintenance
• Strong process-oriented mindset that can work within the framework of constant change
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement to the scheduling and materials planning process
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to meet the requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities in a rapidly growing business
