We are proud to announce that New Direction Support is currently expanding and are looking to recruit both complex and non complex Support Workers to join our expanding organisation. Contract is 24 hours.
Here at New Direction Support we provide support and care services for a wide range of individuals with additional needs and as a support worker you will be at the forefront of our highly professional services
The role of a support worker requires supporting individuals with varying levels of challenging behaviours which will be safely managed by a multiple staff to client ratio. (This will be evaluated during the application process)
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will:
- Provide support from 20:00 - 08:00
- Support people with a variety of learning disabilities / Autism / Mental Health
- Support people to access the community and any employment opportunities
- Support and follow Positive Behavioural Support Plans
- Support people within their own homes to maintain their tenancies & pay bills
- Robust and confident to deal with challenging situations
- Caring and compassionate approach
- Patient and understanding
- Motivated to follow systems to support a positive approach
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the people we support
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow polices & procedures
- Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
- Element of weekend work will be required
- Minimum of 24 hour contract

Salary: £12.21 per hour
Shift pattern: 20:00-08:00 (2 days a week)
