Job Title: SEN Tutor Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to work in Greater London, specifically in the city of London. This is a temporary position with part-time hours, and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to address individual learning needs.
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • Understanding of SEN support strategies.

A relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs is preferred.

Prior experience working as a tutor or teacher with SEN students is required.
  • Knowledge of SEN support techniques and resources.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Additional training in SEN support or related fields.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.

The role of SEN Tutor may involve working flexible hours and some travel to different educational settings within Greater London. The salary for this position is £20 - £30 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
