Qulaification
Essential criteria- Practice Supervisor/Assessor.
- Registered Children’s Nurse
- Safeguarding Children (Level 3).
- Completion of modules at level 7
- PGCE
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience as a mentor of pre and post-registration students.
- Clinical experience at band 6 in an acute paediatric setting
- Ability to teach, educate and facilitate in informal and formal situations
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant specialist curricula, including mentorship programme
- Previous educational/practice development post.
Education and Research
Essential criteria- Demonstrates knowledge of the application of evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the assessment process and of creating a learning environment.
- Developed research ability.
