Maths Teaching Assistant
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teaching Assistant to join our client secondary school in Chorlton. As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of Maths within school, working closely with both students and teachers.
This role will start in February and will run full-time until the end of the academic year. The working hours are 8:30am until 3pm Monday to Friday.
The school is situated in the heart of south Manchester, only a short walking distance away from local tram and bus stops. There is also a large onsite car park for members of staff using a vehicle.
Responsibilities:- Assisting the Maths department in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their Maths studies
- Conducting small group activities to reinforce learning objectives
- Marking and providing constructive feedback on student work
- Promoting a positive learning environment within the classroom
- Collaborating with teachers to create resources and materials for lessons
- A bachelor's degree in Maths or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience working with secondary school students is advantageous
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
