Physiotherapy Assistant
Treloar’s is a charity that provides outstanding education, therapy and care to physically disabled young people, and empowers them to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our Physiotherapy team. We are currently looking to appoint a Physiotherapy Assistant to support the Physiotherapists with student programmes enabling the students to maintain their personal independence.In this rewarding role you will be guiding the students and carers regarding the use of equipment and mobility activities, as well as maintaining constant communication between the carer, therapists and students. You will also be helping to provide a safe environment and you will be assisting the physiotherapist in the provision of hydrotherapy care, along with many other treatments.
The successful candidates will have previous experience of working with children and/or young adults with physical and or learning difficulties. You must possess a strong desire to motivate and demonstrate empathy with young people, as well as being able to communicate at all levels and have good organisation skills.
