Hours - Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Imaging Assistant to join our team in opening a brand-new hospital in London,
At Nuffield Health, your role calls for equal excellence in both administration and people skills. You'll be adept at working quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail. You'll also need a caring nature and the ability to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.Here, you'll help deliver a high quality diagnostic imaging services.
You will join our multi-disciplinary team of Administrators, Consultants and Radiographers.
As an Radiology Assistant you will:
- Be in-charge of the day-to-day running of our US service (with supervision available from a qualified member of staff at all times).
- Assist the consultant radiologists by laying out equipment required for interventional procedures.
- Assist with clinical lists in mammography, CT and MRI.
- Be responsible for stock maintenance and re-ordering as required.
- Speak with patients from their arrival into the department, throughout their procedure and advise them on post-procedure care and results gathering.
- You will be responsible for several US machines, including weekly and daily testing as well as cleaning and decontamination.
- You will chaperone patients for all examinations and be the patient advocate during their time with us.
- Be flexible enough to take on administrative tasks within the department as they are required.
- Work flexible hours in line with service requirements
To succeed as an Radiology Assistant you will need:
- Previous experience working in a hospital setting (ideally within Radiology).
- A level-2 healthcare qualification (Desirable)
- Understand the need for complete document recording.
- A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.
- Excellent communication and team working abilities.
- To be able work well as part of a team, as well as under your own initiative.
