Banana Moon Day Nurseries is looking for a compassionate and experienced one to one Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individual children who require additional support to thrive in our nursery environment.

As a 1-1 SENCO, you will be responsible for implementing tailored learning plans to meet the unique needs of each child. You will collaborate with parents, and external professionals to ensure that each child's individual requirements are met and to create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes their development and well-being.

Your role will involve assessing children's needs, monitoring their progress, and providing targeted interventions to support their learning and development. You will also be responsible for training and supporting staff in understanding and implementing strategies for inclusive practices within the nursery.

This is a rewarding position that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.

Hours of work- Tuesday 8:00am-1:00pm, Wednesday 8:00am-1:00pm and Thursday 8:00am-6:00pm

Requirements

Requirements:

  • A qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and relevant SEN legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passionate commitment to providing high-quality inclusive education and care
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents and external professionals
