Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for an eRostering System Adminstrator to join its busy Pay and Employee Services department.
The Pay and Employee Services department provides a full range of services to Manager’s and over 20,000 Employee’s within the Trust, ranging from a full Payroll and Pensions service to managing workforce and Rostering systems including ESR and eRostering – using the Allocate Optima system.
Delivering an eRostering service to over 9,500 employees at present, you will work as part of a busy team and will be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills to ensure effective service delivery.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to provide training to end users and ideally will have previous experience of working within the NHS delivering eRostering services.

Main duties of the job
Due to further expansion of eRostering across the Trust, this has created an additional role within the eRostering team.
The eRostering System Administrator role is a key role within the team. Your main responsibility is to act as first line support to users of the system and manage queries which are raised via the central mailbox into the eRostering Helpdesk and you will be able demonstrate strong organisational skills to ensure the workload within the helpdesk is managed and prioritised on a daily basis.
- You will provide advice, information, support and training where required to end users at all levels within the organisation. This could also involve assisting employees with queries they may have on their pay and payments received.
- You will be fundamental in ensuring data held within the eRostering system is accurate to ensure data quality is maintained along with ensuring consistency of recording across the Trust.
- You will be responsible for producing reports in line with the eRostering teams schedules, analysing and interrogating data from within the reports and escalating/distributing to Manager's in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are achieved and any errors or data quality issues are rectified.
- Ideally you will have prior experience of working within an eRostering team and have experience of roster systems, You will also be able to demonstrate prior experience of working with Microsoft Office packages and be proficient in the use of Excel particularly.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- 2 A-Levels or equivalent qualification
- NVQ 3 or equivalent in business and administration or an IT related field or equivalent demonstrative experience OR 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade 4 or above.
- High standard of IT skills, demonstrate a working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Teaching/Training Qualification
Further Training
Desirable criteria- RLDatix Academy courses and Certified Administrator Accreditation
Experience
Essential criteria- Knowledge of the use of electronic rostering systems
- Evidence of inter-professional working
- Customer Service Experience
- Prior experience of working within a team environment
- Worked within an eRostering team previously with experience of the Allocate Optima suite.
- An understanding of developing and managing electronic rosters
- Knowledge and or experience of ESR
- Understanding of NHS AfC terms and conditions
