Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Develop and implement individualised education plans based on students' needs and abilities.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting tutoring strategies as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student's education.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or other relevant qualification
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of relevant SEN legislation and best practises
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and effective learning experiences
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN)
- Experience with assessment and evaluation of SEN students
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours, flexible schedule
- Work may involve travel to different locations within Berkshire
- Collaborative work environment with other educators and professionals in the field
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
