Job Description:

We are seeking a Secondary SEN Tutor to join our team in Wokingham, Berkshire. As a tutor, you will be responsible for providing tailored support and guidance to secondary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your primary focus will be on assisting students in overcoming learning barriers and achieving their academic goals.

Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' specific needs
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and progress
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to students to foster a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to student development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements

Education:

A relevant degree in Education or Special Education

Experience:

Previous experience as an SEN Tutor or Teacher is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies and interventions
  • Ability to create inclusive learning environments
  • Proficiency in assessing student needs and progress

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN certification or additional training in Special Education
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The work will be conducted in a secondary school environment, collaborating closely with students, teachers, and parents to support student development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
