We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to manage and control materials at our company’s stores. This role involves manual handling of goods received or dispatched and requires a candidate who is physically capable and has a keen eye for detail.

Day to day of the role:

• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor with stock handling and ensuring record accuracy.
• Handle goods received and dispatched, including picking and packing items for dispatch.
• Maintain efficient Goods Inwards/Outwards procedures.
• Update warranty and other databases for serial number tracked items.
• Handle repairs and returns of non-conforming and faulty goods.
• Participate in stock takes and cycle counting.
• Control stock in alternative locations and maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping.
• Comply with Hazardous Goods transport procedures and Known Consignor standards.
• Participate in product and administrative training.
• Provide facilities support, including minor maintenance tasks.
• Perform daily tasks like replenishing water machines and photocopy paper.
• Ensure efficient dispatch of outgoing post.
• Adhere to Health and Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.
• Train to operate a counterbalance forklift truck and upskill in aftersales and returns management.
• Assist with other logistics roles during absences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good secondary education, literate and numerate.
• Strong communication skills.
• Physically capable of handling loads.
• Preferred packing/warehousing background.
• Computer literate with accurate inputting skills.
• Quick learner for computerized tasks.
• Flexible and trustworthy in handling company equipment and post.
• Dangerous Goods and Known Consignor training is advantageous.
