Junior Science Technician

We are seeking to appoint a Junior Science Technician to manage practical requests and lead the preparation, delivery, collection and tidying away of Junior Science practical work, across Lower First Form (Year 6) and First Form (Year 7) as well as Second Form (Year 8) Biology and Chemistry, to provide technical support for all activities in the above areas and help in other Science areas when capacity allows and to work as a member of a team to provide a service which will ensure safe, effective and efficient use of resources to support the science curriculum.

The position is line managed by the Lead Technician. The coordination of day-to-day responsibilities associated with this role is overseen by the Lead Physics Technician.

The salary range for this post will be Point 26-28 on the Whitgift Foundation Support Staff Salary Scale. The full-time salary will be between £39,201 gross pay per annum (at Point 26) to £41,631 gross pay per annum (Point 28) depending on qualifications and relevant experience.

The Pro-rata salary range for this post will be £31,360 gross pay per annum to £33,304.80 gross pay per annum to reflect Term Time only.
