Job Description
As a Management Accountant you will have the following responsibilities:
- Preparation and distribution of weekly costing
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Help to prepare monthly management accounts and year end accounts
- Preparation of prepayments and accruals
- Posting monthly journals
- Helping with auditors
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Expenses and cash book reconciliation
- Analysis of financial performance and identify areas for improvement
- Assist with other areas of adhoc finance when required
The Successful Applicant
In order to be successful you will need the following skills and attributes:
- An appropriate level of accounting qualification, part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Experience using accounting and financial applications
- Able to deliver results under pressure and to specific time scales
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to prepare accurate financial spreadsheets
- Ability to communicate financial knowledge to the wider team
- Able to work independently or as part of a wider team
