Commercial Account Manager (5691)
Murray Recruitment are recruiting an Account Manager for our client based in Livingston. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a manufacturer.
This role is ideal for a proactive and commercially focused individual looking to manage key accounts, drive business development, and strengthen customer relationships.
Overview
The Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing relationships. The role ensures open communication channels are maintained, contractual agreements are upheld, and commercial opportunities are maximised. This position works closely with the senior leadership team and Planning function to proactively address supply challenges and contract performance measures.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and nurture customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
Act as the main point of contact for all customer and commercial-related matters.
Oversee key account and contract management, ensuring compliance with agreements.
Identify and develop new business opportunities.
Provide timely responses to customer enquiries, including managing quotations and closing deals.
Regularly report KPIs, track budgets, and forecast commercial performance.
Represent the company at customer review meetings and coordinate follow-up actions internally.
Work closely with the Planning team to communicate supply updates and resolve issues.
Ensure all commercial activities align with company policies and objectives.
Skills & Experience RequiredMinimum 3 years’ experience in an account management role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at an executive level.
Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Advanced computer skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
Confident, proactive, and able to take the lead in commercial discussions.
OfferingSalary DOE
Hours are 37.5 per week on site, Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:15pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.
33 days' holiday per year.
Fidelity Salary Exchange Scheme – minimum 5% employee contribution with employer matching up to 10%.
Death in Service benefit – x3 salary.
