• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the logistics department and Barony Plant.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute daily logistics operations while developing and implementing long-term logistics strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Lead and manage logistics staff, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate with the Hexham Plant on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), production planning, and transport coordination.
• Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers.
• Implement and maintain advanced inventory management systems.
• Drive initiatives for automation and process optimisation within the logistics department.
• Oversee contract management related to logistics services.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience with automation in logistics operations.
• Experience in manufacturing logistics.
• Proficiency in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
• Proven experience in logistics management in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence principles.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficient in logistics software and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
