Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to secondary school students in Maths
- Create tailored lesson plans to address individual student needs
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers
- Utilise resources and technology to enhance learning
- Keep accurate records of student attendance and progress
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in teaching Maths at the secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the UK Maths curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Maths or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in secondary Maths
Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles
- Proficient in using educational technology
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tutoring services to secondary school students in Maths. The tutor will need to travel to students' homes or meet them at a designated location for tutoring sessions. The work may involve evenings or weekends to accommodate students' schedules.
